Xylitol Introduction:
Xylitol is the sweetest of ail the polyols. It is as sweet as sucrose, has no after-taste and is safe for diabetics. Xylitol has 40% less calories than sugar and, for this reason, a caloric value of 2.4 kcal/g is accepted for nutritional labelling in the EU and the USA.
In crystalline applications, it provides a pleasant,natural cooling effect, greater than that of any other polyol.
It is the only sweetener to show both passive and active anti-caries effects.

Xylitol Application:
1.Xylitol can be used in food products according to requirements:
In confection as chewing gum, gum confection, toffee, soft sweets, jelly, chocolates, buccal tablet, etc.,
In drinks, milk, bread, candied fruit, biscuit, jam, eight ingredient gruel, etc, to keep longer & better sweet taste.
2.Xylitol can be used in pharmaceutical and chemical products :
In medical products as injections, oral liquid, tablet, electuary etc.
In chemical products as a storage battery, paper-making, toothpaste, mouthwash and a variety of skin care products etc.
Xylitol Features and Advantages:
1.The sweetness at room temperature is comparable to that of sucrose, and the sweetness at low temperature reaches 1.2 times that of sucrose.
2.Soluble in water, absorb a lot of heat when dissolved, the mouth feels particularly cool when eating.
3.Not used by the bacteria in the oral fermentation, can inhibit bacterial growth and acid production, can prevent dental caries.
4.The blood sugar level will not rise after eating xylitol.
